The deoxyribo nucleic acid(DNA)

The  deoxyribo nucleic acid(DNA) is  the  most  important chemical  compound of  the living  organisms .It is the  genetic material and  it  carries information from  generation to  generation. DNA is  the  nuclic  acid containing deoxy ribose  sugar.

DNA  was  first  isolate in  1869 by  Fredrich Miescher from  the  pus  cells. He named it  as  ''nuclin''.Atman named it  is  a nuclic acid since it  is  present in  nucleus  .In  1962 wattson And  Crick constrcucted  the  double  helicxnature of  DNA and the  nature of  sequence of Nucleotides.M.N,Nirenberg(1968) discovered  the  ''geneticcode'' .In  1968,Indian  born  americal  Har Govind Khorana perfected thr tecnique of  test tube synthesis of  know polyneclio tide sequence.
